This is some subtle "slack" that people let build up and infest their mind from the outside-in.
You can't expect any kind of mental transformation to happen if you can't even take care of the basics.
Again this is about building up a reservoir of positive actions in the direction of big steps.
And we need to streamline our lives both physically and online.
We need to toss out old junk and clear the clutter from our lives.
We want to smooth out any disarray in our lives that is holding back any amount of mental or physical capacity that actually matters.
“The space in which we live should be for the person we are becoming now, not for the person we were in the past.”
“Keep only those things that speak to your heart. Then take the plunge and discard all the rest. By doing this, you can reset your life and embark on a new lifestyle.”
“Visible mess helps distract us from the true source of the disorder.”
“If sweatpants are your everyday attire, you’ll end up looking like you belong in them, which is not very attractive. What you wear in the house does impact your self-image.”

Think about your bedroom. This is a personal space that you most likely spend the most time in (sleeping + any time in the day) compared to other spaces (would be good if you're outside most the day though :).
You want this place to be something that helps you get to where you want to go, not keeping where you don't want to be.
You don't want to hold onto things (objects or even people) that hold you back and keep you that person you don't want to be anymore.
So where does this start?
Clean up your room.
Do your bed every single morning after you wakeup.
Toss out junk you don't use. Yes I mean anything you don't actually use. If you haven't used something in the last year, then it's good sign you probably won't use it ever again realistically.
Stop dressing like a slob. Clean your dishes. Don't let the little things unravel your life because they will slow down and hold back the big things.
Say thank you and show gratitude for these things that have served you in the past and move on to brighter and better.
Be a professional.
Post a picture below of your bedroom currently and DO NOT clean up or fix the bed before the photo.
