How Modern Living Holds You Back From Becoming a Better Football
The modern lifestyle is something all humans have begun to think is normal. The grind of school. The routine of a 9-5 job. The never-ending wait until the weekend. We are always so busy with something, whether it be our jobs, our homework, our phones, or our Netflix.
Let me ask you something. When was the last time you actually touched dirt with your hands and feet? When was the last time you actually saw the sunrise? Have you ever?
I ask you this to simply remind you how out of touch the average person is from Nature. We have divorced any resemblance to our maker.
We wear clothes made from petrochemicals. We eat astronaut food engineered in labs. We play football on synthetic fields. We live in the urban jungle and buy food shipped across great lands. We exercise in glass boxes called gyms and put on creams to block the sun. I could go on, but I'll leave it there for now...
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated today. Cells seek simplicity in a connection to the sun and Earth and not a connection to the complexity of technology. Once that happens we lose the ability to employ the massive capabilities of quantum mechanics in a cell.
We are acting today as we are a species with amnesia, I think we have forgotten our roots and our origins in nature. We are subject to her laws and not immune to them. I think we are quite lost in most ways in modern civilization. And we live in a society that invests huge amounts of money and vast quantities of energy in ensuring that we all stay lost because of beliefs that chain us to beliefs contrary to nature.
We've become a society that invests in creating unconsciousness, which invests in keeping people anesthetized so that we are just passive consumers of products and not really asking any of the correct questions that will move our needle to advance mankind.
In developing countries and impoverished areas, children spend more time outside playing with friends in the fresh air and sunlight. Contrast that to the more advanced countries where kids are forced to sit in a rigid chair all day and work with a laptop inside rooms that sometimes don't even have windows.
The push for more technology in learning only exacerbates this situation. Most modern schools are outfitted with facility-wide Wi-Fi systems, and now attempt to put a computer or tablet into the hands of every child. This doesn't even account for all the wiring in the walls as well as any devices like printers and photocopiers running off Bluetooth.
The artificial light and electromagnetic radiation given off by these devices is not to be underestimated especially when those so vulnerable as children are the ones in question.
Obviously with the push for globalization and modernization, these ideas are spreading to even developing countries, but I have no problem arguing that the Natural from childhood is much less exposed to these things from birth.
Light is critical when it comes to the function of your Inner Furnace, and the redox of your mitochondria. Think about the amount of hours kids spend locked away in classrooms and houses doing schoolwork. They are not exposed to natural light, and are even being harmed by the light coming through glass windows.
Why is this? Glass windows turn sunlight into junk light. Glass filters out the Near Infrared and UVB portions of light while leaving the UVA portion. This unnatural isolation of the UVA portion is what really causes things like skin cancer because the other spectrums of light are important to balance out the UVA portion.
It gets worse. Think about what kind of light is in these schools, houses, and office buildings? Artificial light produced by usually CFL or LED bulbs. These lights are one specific spectrum of light called Blue Light that make your body think it is noon at all times of the day.
This is bad for many reasons as we discussed in the Light Series.
The sun hitting your skin all day is what brings your mitochondria to life. This is how you foster the Inner Furnace.
Your mitochondria are very sensitive to the electromagnetic properties of these technologies. These technologies mess with your hormones through the blue light they emit as well as make you develop addictive behaviors around virtual reality and porn.
The Modern lifestyle takes us further and further away from how Nature designed us to work.
True athleticism and health comes from working with Nature, not against. Without optimal athleticism and health, better performances on the field will be hard to achieve (if you aren't already hurt).
